Leadership

Shaun and Charele are the founding Pastors of Soma Church. They married in 1999, and have three children, Isaac, Caedan and Isabella.  With a calling from God to minister to the Holt community, Pastor Shaun and Charele along with other faithful families began Soma in February of 2006.  Since that time God has used them and the church to reach many different people.  For fun, Shaun enjoys golfing and other sports with the kids.  He also relaxes while working around the house, in the yard and in their flower beds. Charele is an avid exercise queen!  She enjoys coffee anytime and is always serving their family in any way possible.  

Matthew and Brittni married in 2005, and love spending family time with their 2 daughters, Landry and Emery. Matthew serves as the Associate Pastor. He declares that living for Jesus was the best decision he ever made! Brittni is a full-time wife and mom who enjoys creative outlets like crafting. Above all else, Brittni strives to love God with her whole heart every day.

Dr. Corey and Jessica have been married since 2013. They have three daughters named Ella, Vera, and Ruby and a dog named Rocket. Corey and Jessica serve together as Student Pastors at Soma Church and operate a chiropractic office, Tuscaloosa Chiropractic. In their free time, the Neills like to spend time with their families, cook out with friends, and relax at home. 

Johnny and Jennifer married in 2003 and have two children, Bailey and Sofie. Johnny is an entrepreneur and owns his own business, AllenCo Pressure Washing. Jennifer is a Human Resource Director at Sealy Management. Johnny and Jennifer love family time, especially with their two grandchildren, Cason Livvy, as well as doing ministry together that will promote the Kingdom of God.

Beau & Michelle married in 2003 and have three children, Sara-Grace, Jaeden and Zeke. Beau works as an Engineering Coordinator. Michelle works for a local trucking company, as well as volunteering in the church office. In their leisure time, they enjoy traveling and attending their children's sporting events. 

Pastor and Raquel married in 2008, and together have 7 children and 1 grandchild. As business owners of Pastor's Kitchen and Pastor's Coffee, Pastor cooks while Raquel handles the business accounting.  They express their love for Jesus through trust and obedience, as they imitate Him.

Charles and Felicia married in 2005 and together have 7 children.  Charles and Felicia work creating beautiful and memorable events through their own event planning business. Felicia also works in the mental health field. The Taylors find joy in spending time with family.

Robert works as a supervisor for a local construction company, as well as maintaining Soma's facilities and grounds. Married since 2007, together he and Tina have fifteen children by birth and adoption, in addition to six grandchildren. Their heart is to follow God no matter where He leads.

Josh and Shannon were married in 2004 and have three beautiful children; Kaeson, Josie and Leona. Josh is a structural engineer and Shannon is a talented interior designer. As a family, they enjoy playing sports, board games, traveling and movie nights. Out of their willingness to serve God, they count it an honor to serve their church family. The Dogan's declare Joshua 1:9 as their family scripture: "This is My commandment, be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
